Qualcomm announced Quick Charge 4.0 in November 2016, and the subsequent iteration of its Quick Charge 4+ technology, in June of the following year. How many smartphones currently support a Qualcomm fast charging system from previous versions 2.0 and 3.0?
Very few, according to the official list available on the manufacturer’s website, indeed, only one: the Razer Phone. To clarify that it is on the official site you can filter only the device with support for Quick Charge 4.0, while no reference is made to the models with Quick Charge 4+ support.
To have a benchmark, again taken from the information provided by the official website of Qualcomm, a total of 6 devices with Quick Charge 2.0 support, those with Quick Charge 3.0 are 14. Almost a year after the presentation of the latest version of the Quick Charge technology, it cannot be said that the same has been widely diffused, the same goes for the previous one.
The official site does not report the Nubia Z17, which supports Quick Charge 4+ and may add the next flagship called LG G7, according to recent rumors.
The Razer Phone is now available on Amazon store for $699.99.
