Pocophone F1 Officially Receiving Android 9 Pie Stable Update

Pocophone F1 has started to receive the long-awaited Android 9 Pie stable update, after the rollout of MIUI 10 Global last month. The release is currently underway through OTA, so it may take a few days before the notification appears on all the devices.

The download package size is about 1.7GB, the build will be updated to version 10.1.3.0.PEJMIFI while the security patches stop on November 2018. However, the manufacturer did not limit itself to updating only the version of the operating system, but also introduced other improvements within the proprietary software, as reported in the changelog.

Xiaomi has implemented support for Google Lens, fixed some problems with Android Auto and fixed a bug that did not make the microphone work properly, after connecting the earphones.

As for the video recording at 960fps introduced in the last beta of MIUI 10, we will have to wait for one of the next updates to be able to have it in a stable version. Finally, for the most impatient people, do not miss the possibility to proceed with the installation of Android 9 manually, by downloading the complete ROM and subsequent recovery flash.

Pocophone F1 is available online from Amazon store at $342.35 / £316.45 and Rs. 20,999 via Flipkart in India.
