PocoPhone F1 Gets 960p Video With MIUI 10 Beta Update

Xiaomi has started the rollout of a new MIUI 10 beta update for the Pocophone F1. The new update was distributed via OTA from the Indian market and, as reported in the changelog, the manufacturer has chosen to implement two new camera features, already seen on Mi Mix 3, such as the ability to record video at 960fps and take pictures in “Super low-light” mode.

As for the first implementation, it is good to clarify that the videos will be interpolated and played at 30fps, as already happened on Mix 2S and Mi8. This is because the camera sensor is not able to record real 960fps video.

The update is available for the moment only in the MIUI 10 beta version and was announced by the general manager of Poco India on Twitter. For the release within the stable version we will have to wait a few more weeks, however, for those wishing to try this beta version is already available in the complete ROM, upgradable through MIUI Updater.

Pocophone F1 is available online from Amazon store at $342.35 / £316.45 and Rs. 20,999 via Flipkart in India.
