Philips X596 has been officially launched in China. It is one of the latest entry-level smartphones with 2.5D curved screen display and aluminum alloy housing from the Philips being launched today. Philips X596 price in China is CNY 1,299 – approximately $171 for the 32GB storage and CNY 1,499 – approximately $227 for the 64GB storage variants. The handset is now available for pre-orders via JD.COM and it will be made available on November 5th, 2017.

The Philips X596 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The device has an aluminum alloy housing design and a 2.5D curved screen display on top of it. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor which supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. It packs a 32GB / 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card.
On the camera front, the X596 flaunts a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera with AF, LED flash and also able to record FHD (1080p) video recording. There is also a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens to capture self-portraits and quality video calling. The Philips X596 comes equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly.
The handset runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and a 4000mAh battery out of the box. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options.
