Phase One iXU 180: World’s smallest 80MP Medium Format Camera

The Phase One iXU 180 camera will help photographers who want to take pictures from various strange angles and can take advantage of the top of the drone.

A new Phase One iXU 180 camera specially developed for aerial photography, especially for drone to capture high-quality pictures of the world with different angle is extremely impressive, which previously they had to use helicopters or parachuting.

However, the size of this drone camera is not too big, weight of the Phase One iXU 180 only 925 grams and it is relatively small. For this type of photography, the usual device is compact GoPro cameras can not record high-quality. To solve this problem, Phase One has announced a this new camera called iXU 180. This is Medium Format Camera with the world’s smallest size.

This Medium Format camera with super high resolution, often used in Aerial photography for printing on large format panels. The new Phase One iXU 180 use CCD sensors up to 80MP resolution, inside a chassis that weighs just 925 grams can be easily attached to the any drone.

This will help the photographer specializing in Aerial photography can take advantage of ultra-high perspective on impression of drone, instead hired a plane to take pictures.

“The introduction of Phase One iXU 180 shows our efforts in implementing the commitments to customers, which are flexible to meet the diverse needs of the market,” said by Dov Kalinski, CEO of Phase One. According to him, this device will provide a solution to capture high quality pictures with a compact body and an extremely reasonable price.

Although just launched, but iXU 180 has a Phase One mount completely supports a diverse range of Schneider-Kreuznach lenses. The photographer can choose from several different focal length lenses from 28 mm, 55 mm, 80 mm, 110 mm, 150 mm and 240 mm to the famous Schneider-Kreuznach lens. In addition, this device is also equipped with USB 3.0 connectivity, CF card slot, sensitivity ranges from 35 to 800.

The Phase One iXU 180 now for reservations and starts selling in mid-April this year.
