Panasonic has confirmed its willingness to update its some of 2017 TV series with HDR10+, the new format with dynamic metadata promoted by Panasonic, Samsung, and Fox.
The products that will receive the update are those that had already been discussed in the previous months. These televisions OLED EZ1000, EZ950 and Ultra HD EX780 LCDs are equipped with the Studio Color HCX2 video processor.
The update will certainly enable streaming from the network, thus allowing to use services such as Amazon Prime Video, currently the first and only to offer content in HDR10+. Support is still being studied through the HDMI inputs: Panasonic is carrying out various tests to see if this possibility can be introduced, so as to ensure compatibility even with Ultra HD Blu-ray discs.
