This rugged laptop is also quite light, weighs only 1.12 kg.

Panasonic Let's Note CF-SV7

Panasonic Let’s Note CF-SV7 looks like the Toughbook – Panasonic’s ultra-durable laptop and it’s interesting that by 2018, Japanese electronics firms are still pursuing this design with their thick and large body.

There is an optical drive attached to the front and a circular touchpad. The laptop is lightweight due to its plastic housing, but Panasonic says it is still strong enough to withstand a drop from a height of 76 cm, equivalent to the desktop table. It is 24.5 mm thick, Let’s Note CF-SV7 targets users who need long battery life (up to 21 hours), removable battery, full connectivity, but still compact enough for the screen size of 12-inches with WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) resolutions.

The Panasonic CF-SV7 improved from the last year’s CF-SV6, but not much in terms of configuration, with a large configuration difference with the 8th generation Intel Core i7 / i5 processor with 4 cores and better heat dissipation. Panasonic offers three configurations, including Entry, Mainstream, and High-End, but users can customize the configuration. For example, you can select up to Core i7-8650U, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD.

The interface of the Panasonic CF-SV7 between the versions is the same with USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, LAN, 3.5 mm audio jack and especially Thunderbolt 3. The camera is also equipped with an IR webcam with Face Detection via Windows Hello, an SD card reader that supports UHS-II, Blu-ray or DVD players, and Optional 4G / LTE modem.

The Panasonic Let’s Note CF-SV7 also comes in many color options such as silver, black, blue, and dark red. The price is also varied, but not cheap, such as the basic version with the Core i5-8350U, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD will cost $2320. While the high-end version with Core i7-8650U, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of PCIe SSD, and LTE modem costs $3880.
