Panasonic Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X with Arbo AI Announced

Panasonic India, today launched two new Eluga smartphones – the Panasonic Eluga Ray Max and Panasonic Eluga Ray X with all new company’s own Arbo artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The Panasonic Eluga Ray Max price in India is set to Rs. 11,499 – approximately $176 for 32GB storage and Rs. 12,499 – approximately $192 for 64GB storage. While the Panasonic Eluga Ray X price in India is about Rs. 8,999 – approximately $138, and both be available from Flipkart in Gold, Metallic Silver, and Rose Gold color options.

Panasonic Arbo artificial intelligence

Both the Panasonic Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X comes with Arbo artificial intelligence – a smart AI assistant that understands your usage of the phone and will make it more intelligent based on the time and location, says the company. Arbo AI will be available on both devices at the end of April.

As per the company, Arbo artificial intelligence uses machine learning to provide intelligent usage suggestions to users. The name is derived from Esperanto, and means a framework used to support climbing plants. It learns the user’s behaviour, alongside time and location, to provide profile-based suggestions like prompting Settings changes and highlighting commonly used apps. It also prompts Bluetooth pairing if users have previously paired their smartphones with a nearby device.

Panasonic Eluga Ray Max features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor that’s backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (not revealed yet), and 4GB of RAM. It comes in 32GB / 64GB of native storage which can be expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.

On the camera front, the device flaunts a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens and front LED flash. It is also comes with a fingerprint sensor placed into home button. It packs a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support

For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, and Micro-USB 2.0 + OTG. It measures 148 x 73 x 9.5 mm and weighs 165 grams. For Sensors, include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

Panasonic Eluga Ray X features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display, and it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage which can be expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.

On the camera front, the device bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing for selfie. It also features a front fingerprint sensor and packs a 4000mAh battery. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, and Micro-USB 2.0 + OTG.
