OWC – The Other World Computing has replenished the Mini version of the external SSD drive named OWC ThunderBay 4 Mini. It is available in Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 2 interfaces.
The otherworld removable storage drive is designed for four 2.5-inch drives and is available both without drives and drives with a total capacity of up to 16TB.
Drives can be used independently or combined into a RAID array using the included software for setting up and managing SoftRAID. The body of the product is made of aluminum alloy.
The variant with the Thunderbolt 3 interface demonstrates speeds up to 1556 MB/s, and the variant with the Thunderbolt 2 interface – up to 1346 MB/s. In both cases, the portable hard drives USB includes two ports. This allows you to include up to six ThunderBay 4 Mini storages for volume expansion.
Another option is to connect multiple repositories to multiple host ports. In this case, the maximum transmission speed is achieved. You can connect a 5K display or two 4K displays to the same port simultaneously.
