Oppo R17 With 6.4-inch Display With Tiny Notch, Dual Camera, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor Launched

After the launch of the Oppo F9 in Vietnam last week, now the manufacturer has revealed the Oppo R17 smartphone in China, which is already available for pre-orders in the country. It is mid-high range device comes with a 6.4-inch 19:9 display, 8GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras and In-display fingerprint sensor.

Oppo R17 Price and Availability

The Oppo R17 price in China has been set at CNY 3,499 – approximately $509 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. As mentioned above, it is already available for pre-order via the company’s official website, jd.com, Lynx, and Suning and will go on sale in China from August 30th. The handset comes in Twilight Blue and Starry Purple color options.

Oppo R17 Specifications

The Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED Notch display with Full HD+ (2280 × 1080 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 91.5% screen-to-body ratio, and protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The device comes with a gradient glass back, and metal frame design. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 670 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 615 GPU and 8GB of RAM. It packs a 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

On the camera front, the R17 flaunts a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots and AI scene recognition. It has a 25-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, AI, Sony IMX576 sensor, and 3D Portrait.

The Oppo R17 has an in-display fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.41 seconds. The handset runs on Android 8.1.0 Oreo-based on ColorOS 5.2 out of the box. It packs a 3500mAh battery with VOOC Flash charge fast charging.

It supports hybrid SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5, and USB C. The device measures 157.5×74.9×7.5mm and weighs 182 grams.
