OnePlus has confirmed that it is launching its first smart TV next week, will called OnePlus TV Q1, and the first model which will be the 55-inch 4K OLED TV.
OnePlus is building up to the launch of its first TV, the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau himself, who showed off an image of the TV’s remote on Twitter earlier this month. But now the fresh photos of the OnePlus TV with Remote Control have been leaked. And this time we are talking about a special button for the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
This indicates that OnePlus and Amazon have signed some kind of partnership agreement, the terms of which will be announced at the time of the announcement. Perhaps the buyers of OnePlus TV Q1 will receive a subscription to Amazon Prime Video, this may partially explain the high price of the TV.
OnePlus also has an announcement regarding a strategic partnership between Eros Now and OnePlus for content streaming on the TV. The partnership, announced by Eros Now, will enable OnePlus TV Q1 users to access content on the streaming service, and will further work with Dolby to enhance the content being delivered. Eros Now has a growing library of content for Indian audiences, including various Bollywood films and other original series.
OnePlus TV Q1 received a built-in Chromecast player for broadcasting content from computers and mobile devices, as well as pre-installed Netflix service besides Amazon Prime Video. The screen has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 100 Hz. The sound system consists of eight speakers with a total power of 50 watts. The equipment includes RJ45 connectors, two USB, three HDMI, S / PDIF, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi. It will have a 2.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. OnePlus TV will come with Dolby technologies including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and this partnership is the first one to make use of the formats.
