OnePlus 5 has been officially launched in India, today on Thursday. It is one of the fastest selling as well as flagship smartphone with dual camera sensor and 8GB RAM from the OnePlus being launched today in India. It comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, the company reveals the octa-core processor has a maximum clock speed of 2.45GHz and claims that the offers up to 25 percent more graphical performance.

The OnePlus 5 features LPDDR4X RAM, which the company claims is 17 percent more power efficient than the previous LPDDR4 offering. Also being touted alongside is a feature called App Priority, which learns the apps users utilize most commonly to load them on startup. Apps that aren’t commonly used are deprioritised. Another performance improvement is the use of UFS 2.1 storage and a 2-lane ROM, which together are said to double the bandwidth.

OnePlus 5 price in India is Rs. 32,999 for the variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and Rs. 37,999 for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is available to buy exclusively from Amazon India in the country at 4:30 pm IST in Black and Grey color options. It comes with offers for Kindle users, Cashback from SBI, accidental coverage and data offers from Vodafone.

OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, sRGB, DCI-P3 color coverage and has 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm processor clubbed with Adreno 540 GPU. As mentioned, it packs 6GB / 8GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB storage based on UFS 2.1, coupled with new 2-lane ROM, which doubles bandwidth promising faster performance in everything from installation speeds to loading graphic-intensive games.

On the camera front, OnePlus 5 bears a dual camera system: a 16-megapixels rear camera with Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, EIS, and dual LED Flash, while the secondary 20-megapixels camera with Sony IMX350 sensor, f/2.6 aperture, 1.0μm pixel size, 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60 fps, and 720p slow motion at 120fps. There is a front ceramic fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. It packs a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge that promises a day of battery life with half an hour of charge.

For connectivity, includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, USB Type-C options.
