OnePlus 5 and 5T have received the new OxygenOS Open Beta versions 7 and 5, united by the same changelog. The update brings with it news regarding the management of Gaming Mode, which will now allow running games to get priority in the use of network resources. This translates into more stable performance when using securities that heavily rely on data connectivity, such as all online multi player games.
New update also with regard to the Weather application, now equipped with a renewed icon and graphics and ability to more precisely determine the current location. The app drawer, on the other hand, receives the new Recent Search tag in the search section. Finally, the update brings with it the traditional improvements to system performance and the correction of various minor bugs.
The update should already be available via OTA for all those who have installed an Open Beta ROM and weighs around 215MB. Those who want to install the complete ROM (about 1.6GB), however, can find the latest Open Beta 7 and 5 for OnePlus 5 and 5T respectively – directly on the official website.
