Odyssey G9 and G7 QLED Curved Samsung Gaming Monitor announced

Samsung shows a new QLED gaming monitor at the CES 2020, which leaves nothing to be desired in terms of gaming. New Samsung gaming monitor includes Odyssey G9 and the G7 series comes in three display sizes that include every gamer segment.

Samsung Odyssey g9

The Samsung Odyssey G9 is an ultra-wide 49-inch gaming monitor with a 32:9 aspect ratio, which comes with an enormous resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels, a 240Hz refresh rate and compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync 2.

A 1000R radius monitor is the most curved display Samsung has ever shipped. According to Samsung, it is even the world’s first monitor with this resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate with this resolution has so far been actually only with 120 Hz for the Samsung C49 ($1.280 on Amazon & $1,299 on Bhphotovideo) available.

The VA panel is provided with a backlight that becomes bright up to 1000 nits, which supports HDR1000. The glossy white design with illuminated LED accents rounds off the futuristic impression of the technology.

Samsung Odyssey g7

The two Samsung Odyssey G7 models in 27 and 32 inches sizes use a 16:9 display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The refresh rate is 240 Hz, the response time is also given as 1ms. The VA panel supports HDR600, the backlight creates a peak brightness of 600 nits.

Samsung has not yet commented on the prices or release date of the monitors.
