Nokia with T-Mobile signs an agreement to distribute the 5G network in the United States. It is a multi-year partnership, the most important so far this is the Nokia’s largest 5G agreement globally will provide end-to-end 5G solutions for T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network.
With a figure of $3.5 billion, Nokia will provide T-Mobile with its complete end-to-end 5G technology, software, and services portfolio, assisting the Un-carrier in its efforts to bring its 5G network to market for customers in the critical first years of the 5G cycle. Specifically, Nokia will build the 5G network for T-Mobile in the 600 MHz and 28 GHz frequencies complying with 3GPP 5G NR standards.
The agreement is not limited only to the US market: thanks to the Finnish company, the new standard will soon be spread throughout the country, helping to achieve a high-speed connection to a low latency. In this way, it will be possible to access the latest generation features and services, including augmented and virtual reality, self-driving cars, industrial automation and unprecedented traffic management methods.
The effects will be evident – not only in the United States – in various sectors, including industry, agriculture, tourism, utilities, health, trade and public administration.
