Nokia surprisingly enters in the Tablet market by launching the Nokia N1 tablet. This is a first step from Nikoa Group in the tablet market. Here we have quick Nokia N1 tablet review below:
Design:
The Nokia N1 Tablet with a large screen aspect ratio of 4: 3 is surrounded by a pretty wide field. The tablet is easy to hold and manipulate in landscape and portrait mode.
The body of the tablet made from a single piece of Lava gray color aluminum and also available in Natural aluminum color. The rear camera is quite a bit recessed into the body without flash.
The lock button placed on the upper part of the table, while the volume keys are placed at the right side. It’s a little difficult to handle with one hand to unlock the tablet. All four edges of the tablet are soft and rounded. On top is a headphone jack and a microphone.
Of course the speakers are placed at bottom with USB Type-C connector which is the most notable part of the design. With conventional Micro-USB connector is not compatible at this stage of development it looks like something unique.
The sound quality of Nokia N1 is above the average compared to the same series of tablets available in the current markets.
Display:
The front surface of the screen is made from a glass, a smooth surface which is resistant to scratches. The Nokia N1 with anti-reflective screen is not worse than the Google Nexus 7.
The Nokia N1 screen is slightly brighter with OGS technology. Due to the thin borders the screen look better in high ambient light. On the outer surface of the screen has a special oleophobic (grease repellent) coating, so you can easily remove fingerprints. The screen has good viewing angles without inverting or change the colors.
The screen has a high peak brightness and has excellent antiglare properties, therefore, the device can easily use outside even the sunny summer day. Acceptable use mode with automatic adjustment of brightness, works adequately.
The advantage of the screen is to carry effective oleophobic coating, no flicker and the air gap in the layers of the screen, very close to the sRGB color gamut, as well as a good color balance.
Interface:
The Nokia N1 tablet runs the latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and proprietary Z Launcher interface. The main screen of the Z Launcher with a list of the most popular applications, which cannot be customized in alphabetical order.
For quick access to the desired application can be spelled write its name on the display. It is recommended to use a specially marked area. The search results appear not only applications, but also related searches.
Performance:
The Nokia N1 Android Tablet is powered by Intel Atom Z3580 SoC, 64-bit 2.3 GHz quad-core processor with the PowerVR G6430 GPU. The tablet comes with a 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.
With this specification, user can easily play all types of high-end 3D graphics games such as Asphalt: 8 or Need for Speed: Most Wanted without facing any single lag. Nokia N1 Tablet support dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n and MIMO, as well as Bluetooth 4.0.
Camera:
Rear camera of Nokia N1 has a resolution of 8 megapixels with good picture quality. However, the sharpness of the camera is poor, but still 8 megapixel camera for tablet is pretty good. The camera features are managed quite well and better picture quality for outdoor and indoor.
The Nokia N1 has a 5 megapixel front facing camera which is quite good to take a selfie picture. The Nokia N1 can also record Full-HD video with quite good quality. It can record 1920 x 1080 MPEG-4 videos at 30,000 fps.
Final line:
The Nokia N1 tablet stands out with USB Type-C connector and of course the Z Launcher. For now, no 3G-version, no GPS and no expandable memory card slot. With this approach, Nokia Group will have to withstand a very attractive price for a Nokia N1.
