Nokia 9 PureView: New Update With Camera Improvements and Security Patches

Nokia 9 PureView is the new flagship device from the HMD, and was first introduced at Mobile World Congress 2019 and also is the first on the market with a rear Penta camera setup.

After a short time of debut, Nokia has already pushed to release the first software update and it is not surprising that the first update is also related to the camera module. In fact, optimizations are introduced to improve the image quality in addition to the support for the Face Unlock.

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, has shared a post on Twitter – to formalize the update, whose release starts from the US market. Although the changelog does not mention these changes, the HMD executive recommends updating the device before finalizing any review, this indicates how important the new software update is.

The integration of the security patches of March 2019 was also very fast, included in a package that requires around 300MB of data to be downloaded. At present, Nokia 9 PureView is only available in the United States, so build 4.19A will refer to the model sold in US.

Nokia 9 PureView pre-bookings are now open via the Bhphotovideo website and the store is offering $100 discount on the launch price and free Mophie 10,500mAh Encore Plus 10K Portable Power Bank to all customers that pre-book the device on their platform.
