Nokia 7 Plus Official at MWC 2018: Price, and Specifications

Along with the Nokia 8 Sirocco, HMD Global also announced the Nokia 7 Plus smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2018 event in Barcelona. It is also Android One smartphone and sports a dual rear camera setup similar to the Nokia 7. HMD is touting the use of Zeiss optics on the rear camera, as well as its capabilities in the realm of low-light photography. It also offers the Bothie, and flaunts a 6-inch 18:9 display.

The Nokia 7 Plus price has been set at EUR 399 – approximately $491, excluding taxes and subsidies, what HMD Global is referring to as the global average retail price. It will be available from early April in Black/ Copper and White/ Copper color options.

Nokia 7 Plus has its strong point in the camera department, thanks to the combination of optical hardware and innovative imaging algorithms that allows taking “true to life” photographs. It has a dual rear camera comprises a 12MP wide-angle primary camera with a f/1.75 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels, as well as a 13MP camera with a f/2.6 aperture, 1-micron pixels, and 2x optical zoom. The duo is coupled with a dual-tone LED flash and Zeiss optics. All these integrated into a unibody metal design made of 6000 series aluminum with easy to grip thanks to the slightly curved back.

The Nokia 7 Plus has 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. It offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C (2.0), and a 3.5mm audio jack. The company is also touting the presence of a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, a single speaker with a smart amplifier and Nokia spatial audio with 3 mics. It measures 158.38 x 75.64 x 7.99mm – going up to 9.55mm around the camera bump.
