Nokia 7.1 With 5.84-inch HDR10 PureDisplay, Dual rear cameras with ZEISS Optics Launched

After leaking in Press renders along with the 7.1 Plus, the Nokia 7.1 has been officially launched in Europe. It is mid-range Android One smartphone comes with a 5.84-inch 19:9 FHD+ Notch display, 4GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras and fingerprint sensor on the back.

The Nokia 7.1 price in Europe starts from EUR 299 – approximately $343 or EUR 319 – approximately $367 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version depending on the country. While the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs EUR 349 – approximately $401. It is now available for pre-order in Europe and goes on sale from October 10th/15th. The handset comes in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel color options.

The Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch HDR10 PureDisplay with Full HD+ (2244 × 1080 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and 80% screen-to-body ratio. The device also has support for HDR, SD to HDR real-time conversion along with HDR10 support; 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video. The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight.

The device is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU and 3GB/4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It packs a 32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 400GB. It has a 6000 series aluminum frame and uses dual-anodized diamond cut colored edge.

On the camera front, the Nokia 7.1 a 12-megapixel (RGB) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, 1.28 um pixel size, ZEISS optics, along with a 5-megapixel (Monochrome) secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture, and 1.12um pixel size. For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree FOV and AI facial recognition.

The handset has a fingerprint sensor on the back panel and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, but the company has promised Android 9.0 Pie update soon. It packs a 3060mAh battery with support for USB Type-C fast charging that can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes.

It supports hybrid SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and USB C 2.0. The device measures 149.7 x 71.18 x 7.99mm and weighs 160 grams.
