Nokia 6 US launch Confirmed from HMD Global

HMD Global has officially confirmed the Nokia 6 US launching and it will be made available for purchase in the country starting early July. HMD Global, the company which currently owns the right to manufacture and sell Nokia-branded smartphones, has also confirmed the Nokia 6 US pricing around $229 and will be available to grab through Amazon.

HMD Global started rolling out the Nokia 6 globally from Q2 and was launched in India recently. The device has a lot of LTE bands, full support for T-Mobile, but it has partial support for LTE on AT&T since it lacks Bands 29 and 30 and doesn’t support CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon. It will be available in Matte Black and Silver color options, but will also be made available in Tempered Blue and Copper colors later this Summer, according to the HMD Global.

The Nokia 6 US variant comes with 32GB of native storage, which is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. The handset running Android 7.0 Nougat OS and sports a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Nokia 6 houses a 3000mAh battery, features a 6000 series aluminum body and has inbuilt dual speakers and Dolby Atmos support. There is a fingerprint sensor right below the display and comes with a 16-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front for taking selfies. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

For connectivity, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, FM, 3G, and 4G. The device has an aluminum alloy uni-body design that measures 154 x 75.8 x 7.8 mm and supports Hybrid Dual SIM, Dual speakers one on top and another one at the bottom with Dual smart amplifiers (TFA9891) and Dolby Atmos for a realistic sound experience.
