Along with the Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 3.1, HMD Global also announced the Nokia 5.1 at an event in Moscow. It is the successor of last year’s Nokia 5 device and represents the mid-range smartphone segment. The main highlight of the handset includes a 5.5-inch FHD+ 18:9 display, 3GB RAM, Android Oreo, and 16MP rear camera.

The Nokia 5.1 price starts from $218 and will be available from July 2018. The handset comes in Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black color options.

The Nokia 5.1 features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with FHD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a unibody design with 6000 series aluminum, and the company says that it is refined through a rigorous 33 stage process of machining, anodizing and polishing.
It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor which supported by MediaTek Helio P18 (MT6755S) SoC and comes in two memory options: 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB (eMMC 5.1) storage, which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the 5.1 bears a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, and 84.6-degree wide-angle lens to capture a wide group selfies and video calling.
The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and which is also upgradable to Android P in the near future. It packs a 3000mAh battery and supports dual SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack and it measures 151.1 x 70.73 x 8.27 mm.
