Nokia 2 Release Date, New Renders, and 4000mAh battery Leaked

Nokia 2 is the most awaited budget Android smartphone from the HMD Global and now is back in clean press renders thanks to the Evleaks. The well-known leaker has recently shared four renders that are extremely clear that show the device in two White and Black color options.

The operating system is almost similar to that of the Android stock operating system, but even before, it captures the Nokia 2 release date that indicates October 5, it’s a good idea to assume it might be its official release date. Another remarkable detail is the presence of on-screen buttons.

As far as hardware is concerned, there is the presence of the rear camera with a single LED flash, an external speaker located at the bottom of the back panel and, apparently, the absence of soft touch buttons on the underside of the display that is not properly contained.

The Nokia 2 appears to be running stock Android as well, and the version could be Oreo, as per the recently spotted US FCC documents.

While all of the above-mentioned things are clearly visible in plain view, there’s also one detail that could possibly suggest the launch date of Nokia 2. Nokia 2 is now reported to pack a huge 4000mAh battery – the largest in latest Nokia-branded smartphones launched so far – as per its purported listing on the US FCC site.

The device was appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website, according to a purported Nokia 2 listing on the US FCC, spotted by Roland Quandt, the Nokia 2 will bear a 4000mAh battery. By far, this is the biggest battery capacity we’ve seen in an HMD Global Nokia-branded smartphone.

As for the specifications based on the leaks and reports so far, the Nokia 2 is expected to house entry level specifications such as a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, a  1.27GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone was expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, with HMD Global’s promise for faster Android updates on entire Nokia devices including this one.
