Nintendo Switch Online: NES controller and All NES Games Available at Launch

The new NES controllers can be used with Nintendo Switch are coming soon, but will be reserved only to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, the service like the PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold that will debut on September 19 and will also grant access to a series of iconic NES games.

Nintendo Entertainment System controllers, created specifically for the Switch, will be a product intended exclusively for members of the new subscription service: players with an active subscription to Nintendo Switch Online will then be able to purchase wireless NES controllers.

The new controllers will be sold in packs of two, will be identical in design to the original controllers, but equipped with wireless technology, rechargeable battery and can be connected to the portable Switch unit as if they were Joy-Con. NES controllers can be booked directly from the Nintendo e-Shop starting September 19th.

The subscription to Nintendo Switch Online will also allow access to an expanding catalog of titles for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and at the launch of the service will be available as many as 20 games including Super Mario Bros. 3, Yoshi and Mario Bros.
