Nintendo New 2DS XL with Large Display Announced, Available on July 28

Nintendo is expanding its portable gaming console family with the launch of all new 2DS XL. This new Nintendo 2DS XL console will arrive first in Australia and New Zealand on June 15, then Japan on July 13, and US and Canada on July 28. Nintendo has yet to make an announcement for Europe. New Nintendo 2DS XL price in US is about $149.99, CAD 199.99 in Canada, AUD 199.95 in Australia and New Zealand, and JPY 14,980 in Japan.

The New 2DS XL improves on the original with a foldable design and 82 percent bigger screen, weight about 260 grams. In Japan and Europe it will be available in two color shades: Black-Turquoise and White-Orange while only the first has been confirmed for the North American territory.

From the point of view of their features, the new portable console of the Kyoto house will obviously not equipped with 3D capability and has been confirmed the presence of the “C Stick” button on the front, and “ZL Button” and “ZR Button” on the back. This game has a lighthearted tone with traditional and strategic RPG-like elements, including customisation, relationship building and team management.
