Nikon’s First Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Coming Soon: Confirmed

Finally, Nikon dissolves every reservation and confirms the long spread rumors, with a new development announcement of the next generation Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera along with the Nikkor lenses with a new mount.

Unfortunately, there are not many details, of course, it is that the Japanese house will adopt a new attack and will also serve new objectives, in short, the beginning of a path that will still see the compatibility of many Nikkor models through the F-mount adapter.

It’s been too many years since the debut of the first Nikon 1 series in 2011, abandoned to itself and never flanked by new components. Even there also talks about the cameras with 1-inch small image sensors and performance far from satisfied with current standards. Their focus remained on DSLRs, being one of the leading brands in the world, but mirrorless is quickly gaining ground and postponing a new model meant only being hurt.

Nikon has evidently accepted the trend and decided to make a mirrorless that can really leave its mark and compete with their own cameras, which will continue to be the heart of the company. We have no certain release date, Photokina 2018 falls well.
