The Z50 is the first model in the Nikon mirrorless camera “Z” series equipped with the DX-format (APS-C size sensor). While having the same silhouette as the full-size mirrorless cameras “Nikon Z7 and Z6“, it is compact and lightweight with a height of about 93mm width of about 126mm and depth of about 60mm.

The effective pixel count of the sensor is 20.88 million pixels. Supports up to 51200 normal ISO sensitivity and 204800 extended sensitivity. Furthermore, as an extended continuous shooting function, continuous shooting of up to about 11 frames is possible with AF/AE tracking. In addition, the camera shake reduction function in the body that was installed in Z7 and Z6 is not installed, so the camera’s shake reduction will depend on the lens.

It has a 3.2-inch 1.04 million touch panel. Equipped with a tilt mechanism and with a “selfie mode” that allows you to shoot with a touch operation when the screen is rotated 180 degrees. The electronic viewfinder is 2.36 million dots, the field of view is about 100%, and the magnification when using a 50mm lens is about 1.02.
