Nikon Coolpix P1000 With 125x Optical Zoom Announced: Pre-Orders, Price, Features

Nikon announced the Coolpix P1000 compact digital camera. The new Nikon camera includes a 16MP BSI-CMOS sensor paired with the EXPEED image processor. Sensitivity is between ISO 100 and ISO 6400. Nikon Coolpix P1000 is equipped with a NIKKOR 125x optical zoom lens that covers an incredible range of focal lengths, beginning at the wide-angle 24mm equivalent and extending to the super-telephoto 3000mm equivalent.

So the 125x zoom lens extensible to 6000mm and up to 250x zoom is possible when Dynamic Fine Zoom is enabled. It has 17 elements which are divided into 12 groups with 5 ED lenses (Extra-low Dispersion) and 1 super ED lens. The aperture is f/2.8-8, Dual Detect Optical VR system, which achieves a level of vibration reduction equivalent to a 5.0-stop*4 increase in shutter speed, delivering sharp and clear images, even with hand-held telephoto shooting.

The LCD display on the back is a fully articulated with a diagonal of 3.2-inches and a resolution of 921,000 points, and there is also a 0.39-inch OLED electronic viewfinder with up to 99% coverage and a resolution of 2.36 million points. The Coolpix supports RAW shooting and can record video in Ultra HD resolution up to 30 frames per second or Full HD up to 60 frames.

This new Nikon compact digital camera also includes Wi-Fi 802.11b / g and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. Snapshot sharing and remote control are managed via SnapBridge connectivity. From the P900 the reset button for the zoom position has been resumed, which allows you to instantly recapture the subject left out of the frame, re-setting the frame with a wide angle. The Coolpix P1000 is equipped with a USB 2.0 port (also supports charging), a micro HDMI input and an external microphone output.

The P1000 is equipped with an accessory terminal and an accessory shoe that supports a wide variety of accessories, including external Speedlights. Nikon Coolpix P1000 is now already up for Pre-orders through Amazon at a price of $996.95 and it will be shipped after September 6th, 2018.
