New Samsung Gear VR Available for Pre-Order for $99

Samsung, after announcing its latest flagship Galaxy Note7, they also launched the new Samsung Gear VR to step ahead into the virtual reality segment. Samsung has collaborated with Oculus, which has made first Samsung Gear VR headsets, which was designed specifically to work with the devices like Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge+, S6, S6 Edge to enjoy virtual reality content.

New Samsung Gear VR 2 headset for the Galaxy Note7 and also compatible with Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge, it has the same design as the previous Gear VR, but the Field of View has been improved from 96 degrees to 101 degrees for more realistic game play and movie experience.

Samsung new Gear VR Virtual Reality Headset weighs 345g, slightly higher than the previous generation Gear VR (310g), but now it comes equipped with USB Type-C port for the Galaxy Note7 and a micro USB port for other Samsung’s devices. There are more improved Touchpad controls with dedicated Back and Home buttons which also increase accuracy during gaming, watching movies or virtual content experience.

New Samsung Gear VR comes in Dark Blue color and is priced at $99.99, same as the previous model. Amazon.com is now offering the Gear VR pre-bookings and the product will be shipped after August 19th, 2016.
