New Razer Blade 2016 Gets GTX 1060, VR Ready, 1TB SSD, Starting from $1,799

Razer has rolled out a new version of its 14 inch Razer Blade gaming laptop, bringing its internals up to date at IFA 2016. The New Razer Blade 2016 now uses new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, VR Ready, PCIe-based SSD storage capacity up to 1TB and Intel Core i7 CPU with Hyper-Threading architecture. Both CPU and graphics performance should see a nice boost. 2

Razer is also touting the new Razer 14 2016 model will have options to choose from two display including Full HD Matt (1920 x 1080) with LED backlight or IGZO QHD+ (3200×1800) 16:9 with LED backlight and multi-touch. New Razor Blade 2016 Laptop is 17.78mm thick at its thinnest point and still very lightweight about 1.95 kg. The Notebook has a CNC cutting-edge technology frame design and its housing made of durable aluminum alloy along with anodize finishing.

New Razer gaming laptop is also equipped with Razer Chroma keyboard features individual backlit keys, allowing customization of each key with 16.8 million colors. The lights and effects settings are synchronized via the Razer Synapse. 3

The most notable upgrade on the new Razer Blade 2016 is powered by the ultra-fast NVIDIA Pascal GPU architecture with optional solid state hard drives to 1TB (previously was only 512GB). Along with the new GPU, the cooling system is also improved, but the company did not specify the most effective heat dissipation, just know that the device has 2 fans still like the previous generation. And Thunderbolt 3 port will also bring more speed up to 40 Gbps.

New Razer Blade price starting from $1,799 for Full HD – 256GB model, with the optional 512GB and 1TB model costs $1,999 and $2,399 respectively. While the QHD+ 512GB starts at $2,299 (without optional 256GB) and you can step up to QHD+ 1TB model at $2,699. 1
