Dell, by mistakenly had published a new XPS 15 laptop, model – 9560 with refreshed Kaby Lake processor on its webpage, now it may have disappeared from, but we have collected few highlights of the new Dell XPS 15 laptop below.
New Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop will feature 15.6-inch InfinityEdge display with narrow frame at the top and at the sides, just 5.7 mm wide. Consequently, the overall size would be similar to standard 14-inch laptops. The thickness is just 17 mm at its thickest point, 11 mm at the thinnest, while the weight stops at 1.8 kg when using a SSD.
As for the display, it is provided Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution or UltraHD (2160p) touch screen display along with it is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. In both cases it uses IGZO panel with wide 170 degrees angles. The maximum brightness of 350nit and it can cover 100% of the Adobe RGB color palette. Among the software included is Dell PremierColor that converts the colors that are not within the Adobe RGB palette.
Inside it, the laptop comes with a 7th seventh generation Intel’s (Kaby Lake) quad-core processor. It is expected to come with the GeForce 1050 GTX (Pascal) 4 GB of VRAM GPU optionally. The RAM can go up to 32GB, at 2133 MHz. The storage includes both PCIe SSD, or HDD up to 1TB of capacity. The Wi-Fi is AC, a Killer 1535. The whole thing is powered by a 56 Wh battery.
For connectors, new Dell XPS 15 9560 includes SD card slot, USB 3.0 with PowerShare, Kensington lock, HDMI, Thunderbolt 3 (40Gbps bi-directional), USB 3.1 (10Gbps), DisplayPort 1.2, VGA, Ethernet, USB-A via Dell Adapter and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The dimensions of the laptop are 357 x 235 x 11 or 17 mm. Notably, the laptop uses aluminum chassis and the surface made of carbon fiber to ensure optimum insulation from heat. As of now, we have no information regarding pricing and availability of the new Dell XPS 15 with Kaby Lake processor.
