Amazon UK has announced the availability of the Musical Fidelity LX2 series phono amp and headphone amplifier. There are two products: the LX2-LPS phono amp and the LX2-HPA headphone amplifier.
Both Musical Fidelity LX2 series products are characterized by compact dimensions, designed to ensure easy accommodation even in confined spaces. Power can be supplied via the EPS linear power supply (available separately).
Musical Fidelity LX2-LPS is Phono MM / MC stage (Moving Magnet / Moving Coil) with adjustable impedance. The case is made of aluminum. The specifications report a signal to noise ratio of more than 80dB on MM and above 70dB on MC. The total harmonic distortion is less than 0.01%.
The Musical Fidelity LX2-PHA has two headphone inputs on the front, one on 3.5mm jack and one on 6.3mm jack. There is also the knob to adjust the volume and the switch to adjust the gain in three positions (-6/0/6). Completely colorless sound with a virtually unlimited dynamic range from a black velvet background and perfectly positioned spatial images.
