At the beginning of this month, Motorola had announced that they will soon have Android 8.1 Oreo updates for the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, and the company has now released the update while pledging its promise.
Motorola has started to roll out the Android 8.1 Oreo update to Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones in the India, users report. Earlier on July 2018, the company began Android 8.1 (Oreo) soak test to the Moto G5 Plus smartphone. Users can expect to receive an over-the-air update notification on their handsets.
The Android 8.1 Oreo update for both phones are about 1.2GB in size and also come with Android security patch for August 2018. The new update introduces changes including new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls, and improved data saver, battery features, new power menu UI and Bluetooth improvements. The update also includes the August Android security patches and fixes minor bugs and improve the stability of your devices.
