Microsoft Surface Book: Hybrid Laptop with 13.5-inch Display and Core i7 CPU Launched

Besides Surface Pro 4, Microsoft also created a big surprise when it launched Surface Book and this is a first complete laptop from Microsoft and also considered as a serious competitor of the Macbook Pro in the future. But the basic difference is the hybrid product with detachable screen for use as a tablet so we can also call it Surface Book Tablet.

A distinctive feature of the Surface Book body which is made from magnesium alloy and Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge design with unique flexibility, you can rotate and flip the screen in both directions and use as your comfort. According to Microsoft, it is very slim in size and light weight body, it has changed the material in the design and use of magnesium alloy to make it more durable. Surface Book equipped with touchscreen 13.5-inch PixelSense Display, a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels that reaching the pixel density of 267ppi is equivalent to the Surface Pro 4 screen. Accompanied by a Surface Pen to create quick notes and graphic designs on latest Windows 10 Pro operating system for better supports.

Regarding the hardware configuration, the Surface Book features 6th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors – depending on version. The advantage of this design is greatly reduced size, weight of the device is equivalent of two tablets. In addition, the graphics processing capabilities of Surface Book also strengthened through integrated Nvidia GeForce graphics with GDDR5 with i7, while Intel HD Graphics 520 on the Core i5 variant.

The detachable Keyboard has also changed significantly, very comfortable and optimized for mobile use, providing a good experience with LED backlight keypad. Microsoft also claimed that the Surface Book’s battery can last up to 12 hours with a full charge. The keyboard dock comes with a 2x USB 3.0 port and SD card slot which can be folded in different angles and look very pretty. Keyboard system also said contained powerful GPU inside it.
