Microsoft HomeHub with Windows 10, Cortana, Video Calling and More on the Way!!

Microsoft is developing the new HomeHub feature for Windows 10 to be able to compete with just launched Amazon Echo Show or Google Home. Basically, Microsoft HomeHub is designed to make a family environment for a desktop PCs can share data about the calendar, app, and welcome screen.

Microsoft is also planning to support peripherals such as the Philips Hue Smart, Nest Thermostat, Insteon smart cards, Wink, and Samsung SmartThings. According to leaked images, The new welcome screen of HomeHub will display notes and calendar of in-house members.

It also comes with “always on” feature to check out to-do lists, and the welcome screen is designed for kitchen PCs and new smaller hardware with screens that will support Cortana voice commands from across the room. Microsoft is also adding voice commands to let you control the smart home, Skype calling and more. Compared to other competitors, Microsoft wants the different product that running Windows 10 just like regular desktop PCs. These new features will be available in Windows 10 through this September update.

On hardware, Microsoft is shaking hands with PC makers like HP and Lenovo to create hardware for HomeHub. They can be a completely new model, but they can also be a refurbished old model. The All in one is the most suitable one for home use. Expected that these products will be sold at the end of this year.
