Micromax India has announced two new affordable Unite series smartphones in India named Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro. Both latest Micromax mobile phone are also the first handsets to run all new Indus OS 2.0. The Micromax Unite 4 Pro is priced at Rs 7,499, while the Unite 4 is more affordable at Rs. 6,999.
With the increasing number native language based OS budget smartphones in the Indian market, both the Unite smartphones will be yet another addition that launch with Indus OS 2.0 which comes with additional features such as support for 12 regional languages along with text-to-speech technology in 6 Indian languages, App Bazaar application (Native app for Indus Operating System) that allows users to download and pay for apps without email IDs and credit cards, free SMS services (Indus to Indus), Indus Swipe, and much more.
Both Unite smartphones features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution, also supports fingerprint scanners and come with dual-SIM support. For imaging features, both devices flaunt an 8-megapixel primary autofocus camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Talking about the Micromax Unite 4 specifications (above), the device houses a 1.0 GHz quad-core processor (Cortex A53) that based on 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P chipset. Also, there is 1GB of RAM to provide sufficient multi-tasking. It packs an 8GB of internal storage along with a micro SD card slot to expand the storage up to 32GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Indus OS 2.0.
On the other hand, Micromax Unite 4 Pro (above) packs a 3900mAh battery; and powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. It also supports external microSD card slot up to 32GB. But it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based on Indus OS 2.0 that is soon be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Micromax Unite 4 Pro will be available for purchase exclusively via Snapdeal in the coming days while the Micromax Unite 4 will be available via offline retail stores in India.
