Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 with only 5.1mm Thickness and 4G LTE Launched

Micromax today launched a new smartphone called Canvas Sliver 5, the special thing about this device is that it has a thickness of only 5.1mm, which the company claims is maintained start to end on the device without any bump (including camera).

The Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 smartphone has been priced at Rs. 17,999 – approximately $282 and will be available starting the first week of July. The Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 features a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 smartphone comes with a 2000 mAh battery capacity with improved battery backup according to the company. The phone is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC and 2GB of DDR3 RAM, while the internal memory of the device is 16GB without any external microSD card slot support.

The Canvas Silver 5 runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop platform, supports dual-SIM with dual standby feature, the phone has a 8 megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX219 CMOS sensor, a Blue glass filter technology and LED flash while the front camera of 5 megapixel to take a selfies.

For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and Micro-USB 2.0.
