As many predicted that Meizu will host a private media event on 31st October this month to launch its new flagship products. But on the web appeared leaked images of the two new Meizu smartphones dubbed as the Meizu Pro 6S and Meizu M5 with quite strange specifications.
Meizu Pro 6S
Recently, there was a lot of information about the configuration of this model. But according to the latest leaked images, the Meizu Pro 6S will launch together with the hexa-core MediaTek MT6796 processor, clubbed with Mali-T880 GPU. The MediaTek MT6796 chipset is quite unexpected because its a completely new name and had never been introduced before.
In addition, the Meizu Pro 6S comes equipped with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of native storage space and a screen with Full-HD resolution (unknown size, predicted 5.5 inches). The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, but will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat as well.
There is also news that the Meizu Pro 6S will have all-metal design and physical Home button on the front which can be worked as a fingerprint sensor.
It will be a product for the mid-range segment, with leaked images, we can clearly see the Meizu M5 specifications as follows: an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, paired with Mali-T860 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It will own HD display and comes with 16GB of internal storage and 13-megapixel camera sensor at the rear. It might sport a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, 2.5D curved glass and will run on the Flyme OS based on Yun OS 5.1.1.
Last month, Meizu had announced the M3 Max smartphone in China, priced at Yuan 1699 – approximately $255 USD and available in Champagne Gold, Gray, Silver and Rose Gold color options. It has a large 6.0-inch display, all metal uni-body and Fingerprint sensor as well.
