Meizu MX6 with 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch display and 12MP Camera goes Official

Meizu MX6, the latest flagship smartphone from Meizu has been officially announced in China. Meizu MX6 price in China is set to CNY 1999 – approximately $298 USD or INR 20,000. It is available in Gray, Silver, Gold and Pink color variants. 

Meizu MX6 Specifications

The MX6 features a 5.5-inch Sharp TDDI display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 401ppi. It has 1500:1 contrast ratio and 85 percent NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a 2.3 GHZ deca-core processor that’s fueled by MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit chipset paired with Mali-T880 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which is further expandable via microSD card (unspecified storage).

On the camera front, the MX6 flaunts a 12-megapixel primary autofocus camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 6P lenses, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. It can able to record 4K videos. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera f/2.0 aperture and wide angle lens for selfies and video calling.

The device also comes with a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor that embedded in Home button and can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds for payments using WeChat and Alipay. The body is made up of magnesium alloy, which is 7.25 mm thick and weighs 149 grams. 

The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Flyme OS 5.5 on top of it. It packs in a 3060mAh battery along with mCharge technology that can charge the device up to 65 percent in just 30 minutes and fully charge it in just 75 minutes through a 24W fast charger.

For connectivity, the MX6 includes dual SIM 4G VoLTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, A-GPS, USB Type-C, and 3.5 mm audio jack options.

Additionally, the company has also announced a new accessory called Loop Jacket, which is a protective cover case for MX6 and Pro 6, priced at CNY 79 – approximately $12 USD.
