Meizu officially announced its new M6 budget smartphone comes with Octa-core SoC, 2GB or 3GB of RAM and fingerprint sensor. Meizu M6 is the successor of the Meizu M5. Meizu M5 price in China is CNY 699 – approximately $106 for 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM model costs CNY 899 – approximately $136. The handset comes in Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Matte Black and Electric Blue colors; and will be available for order on September 25th in China.
Meizu M6 Specifications
The Meizu M6 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass and HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution with 450 nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The device has a metal frame design and its housing made of polycarbonate. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor which supported by MediaTek MT6750 chipset paired with Mali T860 GPU along with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the M6 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 4-color RGBW flash. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture to capture stunning self-portraits and quality video calling. The handset comes equipped with mTouch fingerprint sensor placed into front Home button that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds.
The handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based on FlyMe OS 6.0 out of the box. It packs a 3070mAh battery, measures 148.2 x 72.8 x 8.3mm and weighs 143 grams.
