Chinese handset maker Meitu unveiled its latest selfie-focused smartphone, the Meitu V6. The new Meitu smartphone, much like previous handsets in terms of designs, but focuses on selfies and comes with dual rear and front camera setup. Following the current trend of smartphones, the all-new Meitu V6 also comes with slim bezels around the display. It will officially go on sale on November 23, 2017.
One of the biggest highlights being marketed heavily by the company is its camera system. It comes with a dual 12-megapixel rear camera setup with Sony IMX362 sensors and dual LED flash. The same camera setup is on the front as well. Both rear and front cameras support an all-pixel PDAF focusing, OIS, and the 4th-gen dual-image engine. The camera lens focuses only in 0.13 seconds and for selfie lovers, there is also AI artificial intelligence self-portrait beauty features.
The Meitu V6 features a 5.49-inch OLED display with Full HD screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The handset supports dual Nano-SIM cards and packs a separate microSD card slot. The V6 is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X35 processor with a maximum frequency of 2.8 GHz and 4GB RAM. It supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat and packs a 3100mAh battery.
The Meitu V6 ‘s housing is covered with an ECCO leather with a 18K gold frame on the back. Customers have four colors to choose from: Rotterdam Orange, Edinburgh Blue, Melbourne Green and Moroccan Powder.
