Mario Kart VR Game puts you in the Kart itself: Video

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch has already become popular and now the Japanese game giant is bringing a fairly new multi-player experience with the video introduction of the all new Mario Kart VR for Japanese arcades.

Mario Kart VR

New Mario Kart Arcade GP VR video teaser noticed by NintendoEverything, and stressed that the Bandai Namco has planned to open a new arcade featuring virtual reality gaming in Tokyo next month. They will also be opening VR Zone arcades overseas as well starting with in London this summer.

Mario Kart Arcade GP VR will be played using the HTC Vive. Nintendo isn’t developing the game specifically, but this is a pretty interesting development nonetheless. The Mario Kart VR game throws you right into the action, placing you in a kart as either Mario, Luigi, Peach or Yoshi, and giving you a whole new perspective of your favorite Mario Kart tracks. You can get up close and personal with the other racers and see their different facial expressions more clearly, as well as getting a brand new look at the Piranha plants that want to eat you, among other obstacles.

But unlike driving while watching the action through a monitor, players using 3-D headsets will feel like they are actually driving Mario’s go-kart in a fantasy world.

Moreover, because the players wear devices that give them a sense of touch, they can actually pick up virtual turtle shells or banana skins that appear on the track and throw them at other players – action that is popular with “Mario Kart” aficionados.”
