Apple announced a new MacBook Pro 2016 laptop back in October, with a unique Touch Strip feature called the Touch Bar, and the company has taken the appropriate solution to open it for third-party developers to access it so they can take full advantage of the Touch Bar display functionality and services. And now new application turned the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar into a miniature piano.
According to ubergizmo, the Developer Graham Parks has created the new app called – Touch Bar Piano that turns the Touch Bar into a miniature piano. Those who own this Touch Bar MacBook Pro laptops can easily play it using the Touch Bar. All they need to do is tap on the polyphonic keyboard’s keys to play. It’s that simple.
Touch Bar Piano app also comes with several tools to choose from. Users can switch between an electric and an acoustic grand piano with voice commands. The application even supports xylophone and synth violin configurations. Apparently, the app relies on the GarageBand sound library to actually generate the music.
Touch Bar Piano app for new MacBook Pro is now available for free to download from the developer’s site, but it is not signed.
