LG X500 with 13MP Camera, 4500mAh Battery Announced

LG has announced the arrival of a new smartphone, dedicated to the South Korean market called LG X500. A distinctive feature is a massive 4500mAh battery, which will provide up to 20 hours of continuous video playback time and can charge 50% in one hour only. The LG X500 price in South Korea is set to SKW 319,000 – approximately $294 and it will be going on sale in the country from Friday.

LG X500 Specifications

New X500 is said to be the South Korean-variant of the LG X Power 2 which was launched in February this year and will come with quite similar specs including a 4500mAh battery with high-speed charging technology which can be used as a navigator for up to 14 hours, or get to 18 hours of web surfing, with a single charge.

Display is a 5.5-inches with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and it is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, with can be further expandable via microSD card up to 2TB. While the LG X Power 2 was launched with 16GB of native inbuilt storage.

For optics, the LG X500 bears a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera with front LED flash to capture bright selfies. It also comes with various camera features such as Auto Shot automatically triggers the front camera’s shutter when a face is detected. Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot reads and responds to hand signals, eliminating the need to press the shutter button which is a common cause of blurry photos. And with Quick Share function, users can immediately post images to their favorite social media site with just one tap.

For connectivity, the device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, USB OTG. It measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.4mm and weighs 164 grams. The handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and it will be available in Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold, and Shiny Blue colors.
