LG is reportedly set to launch two new budget smartphones in its X-series – LG X2 (2018) and X5 (2018). Earlier this week, the company has announced the LG Q7, Q7+, and Q7α smartphones. Over the past few weeks, news around the flagship LG G7 ThinQ has been on the rise, along with the latest leak shows us the first live image of the LG V35 ThinQ.
Citing a source, Phoneradar in a report revealed some of the details and specifications of the LG X2 2018 and X5 2018 smartphones. It said that the LG X2 will sport a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) 16:9 display, while the LG X5 with a slightly larger 5.5-inch display with the same aspect ratio and resolution.
In terms of optics, the LG X2 2018 will sport a 13-megapixel primary sensor with LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. While the LG X5 2018 also features a 13-megapixel rear camera and 3-megapixel front camera for selfie. The report also adds that the LG X2 2018 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the LG X5 2018 will come powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, paired with 2GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
Where the LG X2 packs a 2,410mAh battery, on the other hand, the LG X5 packs a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging. Both upcoming devices also feature a face unlock and fingerprint sensor. Both handsets will go on sale starting June 2018. While the LG X2 2018 is expected to cost KRW 200,000 – approximately $185, the LG X5 2018 will be costing KRW 300,000 – – approximately $275.
