LG X Venture Rugged Phone with Android Nougat Announced

LG X Venture has been officially launched in US, and the company’s latest device in the ‘X Series’. It comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, has passed 14 MIL-STD 810G tests designed for the U.S. military. The LG X Venture price in US is set to $330 via AT&T starts May 26 for $11 per month for 30 months. It is available in Black and Brown colors and it will also be available in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America in the coming weeks.

The LG X Venture features 14 MIL-STD 810G grade design is resistant to extreme temperatures, shock and water, and can be immersed in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes. It also comes with a QuickButton on the side allows for easier interaction with the phone while wearing gloves or in wet or muddy environments. QuickButton can be customized to launch any other application and works even when the screen is off.

The display is 5.2-inch IPS display with Full HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and it is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit Snapdragon 435 chipset clubbed with Adreno 505 GPU along with 2GB LPDDR3 of RAM. It packs a 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

LG Rugged Phone flaunts a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera with LED flash, and there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 120-degree wide angle lens to capture self portraits and quality video calling. The handset also comes equipped with a front fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly.

The LG X Venture runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs in 4100mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 out of the box. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options.
