After beta releases through LG OS Preview program, LG V30 has finally received its anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo stable update. The new version has started rolling out as an incremental over-the-air (OTA) update for the LG flagship.
LG Electronics, on its South Korean forum, confirmed that the stable Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG V30 is reaching a small percentage of users at the initial stage, though it will get a broader rollout in a few days. While the LG V30 Android 8.0 Oreo update for global users is expected in early 2018, so you would receive the new update sometime in the coming days.
As far as the list of new changes is concerned, the LG V30 Android 8.0 Oreo update will optimize the software for smooth experience and boot faster, minimize power consumption when the phone is not in use, includes convenience features such as Picture in Picture (PIP) feature allowing users to watch videos and continue viewing images on a small screen even when running other apps and support wider variety of high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC codec.
Lee Sang-kyu of LG Electronics Mobile Korea Group said, “We will provide a differentiated user experience with the stable and complete software.”
