LG V30 Starts Receiving Android 8.0 Oreo Update in USA

LG V30 has started receiving its Android 8.0 Oreo update in USA. The new update is rolling out in batches as an over-the-air (OTA) package for unlocked units of the V30 with model number US998.

As spotted on mylgphones, the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG V30 brings the software version US99818f. It includes Android 8.0 Oreo along with default features such as Instant Apps, new Quick Settings menu, Notification dots, Picture in Picture (PiP) mode, and Smart Autofill, among various others. The update is also expected to include the latest Android security patch for the January month.

Now LG V30 Android 8.0 Oreo update is available for the selected users in the United States. It will be rolled out via service providers in the US, which might take some time depending on the network provider. Within next few weeks, the smartphone should receive the OTA update after the testing is complete.

The update can be expected to be made available in phases for all LG V30 units. You can check its availability by going to Settings > About > Software updates. LG V30 Android 8.0 Oreo update was first rolled-out in South Korea back in December 2017.
