LG K9 has been launched in Russia in Black color only. The new smartphone, which is essentially a variant of the LG K8 (2018) that was launched in Barcelona at MWC 2018 last month, comes at a price of RUB 9,990 – approximately $175. The handset is now listed on the company’s official Russian website.

The LG K9 had some aesthetic differences compared to last year’s device: the LG logo has been moved to the back of the smartphones and the front speaker grille now has the same dark color as the front.
The glossy plastic finish body remains unchanged, and the work of optimizing the frames that do not appear to be properly contained is still absent. Most interesting changes are concentrated in the camera sector, according to LG, autofocus speed and in low light performance has been improved.
The LG K9 features a 5-inch On-cell IPS display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 294ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor fueled by the Snapdragon 210 chipset and packs a 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 16GB of native storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 2TB.
For capturing images and recording videos, it has an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the front. Additionally, the camera UX features are similar to the LG K8 (2018) such as Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Flash for Selfie, and Quick Share.
The LG K9 also features a rear fingerprint sensor and for connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, and USB 2.0 Type-B. Besides, it packs a 2500mAh battery, measures 146.3 x 73.2 x 8.2mm, and weighs 152 grams.
