LG G7 ThinQ could be the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with a physical button dedicated to Google Assistant. The news comes from CNET, which cites sources that confirm the presence of the button on the left side of the smartphone, while on the right side we will find the power button, for the first time in this position after several years.
According to a previous rumor, it seems that LG G7 ThinQ will be equipped with a slightly customized version of Google Assistant, made in collaboration between Google and the South Korean house in order to integrate an exclusive series of voice commands for the next top flagship range of the LG.
The inclusion of a physical button dedicated to the voice assistant is certainly not new, on the other hand, Samsung has been following this path for more than 12 months with the Bixby button present on its flagship range. Despite it, this is further confirmation of the great focus placed by LG on the role that the AI sector will play on LG G7 ThinQ.
Now we just have to wait for May 2, the date on which the South Korean house will show its flagship to the world, in order to discover some more details around this physical button, such as the possibility to remap it on the basis to the user’s needs, or at least to disable it.
