LG G7 ThinQ Features

There are some details on the display features, which was LG itself to anticipate: the screen will have a diagonal of 6.1-inch with an extremely high brightness level (1000nit) and a coverage of 100 percent of the color space DCI-P3. The screen will support six viewing modes and will allow you to adjust the color temperature and RGB levels. The New Second Screen identifies the customizable notch and it can hide via software by covering the area to the left and right of the ‘notch’. As for the frames, almost 50 percent thinner compared to the previous G6 and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both front and back sides.

There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and dual 16MP + 16MP rear camera combined with two bright optics that differ in viewing angles – one is called super wide-angle. Artificial intelligence algorithms improve the rendering of photos, offering 19 shooting modes. There is also support for live photos, the ability to apply stickers using face recognition and portrait mode.

The LG G7 ThinQ can also boast the IP68 certification (water and dust resistance), complies with MIL-STD 810G standards. The 3000mAh battery supports fast and wireless charging. The handset also packs a good audio and the digital assistance functions offered by Google Assistant and Google Lens. It comes with a dedicated button for Google Assistant and Google Lens, which LG points out no other phone maker has done before. There is an extra button located just below the volume rocker. A single tap of the button will launch Google Assistant, two quick taps will launch Google Lens, and holding it down will let you start talking to Google Assistant.

On the audio front, there is the presence of Boombox Speaker, Hi-Fi DAC, and FM Radio. It is also the first smartphone with DTS:X support, thanks to which you can take advantage of virtual 3D audio and 7.1 through headphones.

According to the source, LG G7 ThinQ will be sold first in South Korea and then in other major markets such as North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. The price for individual markets will be announced near the launch. It also refers to a dual version of the smartphone, namely LG G7 ThinQ and LG G7+ ThinQ: the difference lies in the different amount of RAM and Storage options.
